Scheduling and Cancellations
Life happens, and sometimes plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact me at least 48 hours before your appointment. This helps me offer the time to someone else who may be waiting.
Late Cancellations
If a cancellation happens within 48 hours of your scheduled session, a late‐cancel fee may apply. In most cases, this is half the cost of a session. I’ll always consider the circumstances and approach these situations with understanding.
No‐Call / No‐Show
If you miss an appointment without notifying me, the full session fee of 120 will be charged.
Payments and Insurance
I accept the following private insurance plans:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Blue Care Network
- Cigna
- Aetna
- United Health Care
- Priority Health
- UMR
I do not accept Medicare or Medicaid. If you prefer not to use insurance or do not have coverage, the self‐pay rate is 120 per session. Clients are responsible for verifying their insurance benefits, including copays and deductibles. I’m happy to provide support or documentation when needed.
Telehealth Sessions
All sessions are provided through Telehealth. Please plan to join from a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable speaking openly. If we experience technical issues, we will reconnect as soon as possible or arrange an alternative time if needed.
Confidentiality
Everything you share in therapy is confidential. The only exceptions—required by law—include situations involving imminent harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse of a vulnerable person, or court orders. I will always discuss these limits with you if a situation arises.
Communication
All clients receive a direct and reliable way to reach me for scheduling needs or questions. Messages will be returned as promptly as possible during business hours. Please note that email or text communication is not intended for therapeutic discussions.
Emergencies
I do not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis, please contact your local emergency services or crisis hotline right away.
Session Length and Frequency
Sessions are typically 50 minutes. We’ll decide together what frequency feels most supportive—weekly, biweekly, or another rhythm that fits your needs.
Ending or Pausing Therapy
Therapy can be short‐term or long‐term. If we determine that another level of care would be more helpful, I will support you in finding appropriate resources. Therapy may also be paused or ended if there is a pattern of missed sessions or unpaid balances.
Good Faith Estimate
For private‐pay clients, a Good Faith Estimate of expected annual costs is available upon request, in accordance with the No Surprises Act.
